Winter Steelhead Travel Patterns - Keith & Zoey Johnson (Video)

Winter Steelhead Travel Patterns - Keith & Zoey Johnson (Video)

The 2020/2021 Washington Coast (Olympic Peninsula) Winter Steelhead season was already slated to be cut short, with major restrictions on boat angling, bait closures, and early closings.

Eventually - WDFW called for a full closure on March 8th. Although escapements were coming in low, the fishing was excellent at times, slow at others.

In this video, you'll hear Keith Johnson talking about steelhead fishing, travel patterns & adapting to water conditions.

The  is taken from the Salmon Trout Steelhead Podcast which is available on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Youtube, Podbean and many other places Podcasts are found.

Keith, Zoey and Lucas fish for steelhead with floats and worm jigs. Lucas was primarily fishing the Addicted worms (made by Mad River) while Keith and Zoey were fishing various colors of Mad River worms.

Several fish were caught, a few more lost - and many good times were had.
